Bakrid is the festival of Islam Religion. It is known as Eid-al-Adha and Eid-ul-Juha. This day comes after the 70 days after the holy month of Ramadan. On this day different kinds of animals are sacrificed by people. There is a special reason for this tradition. It is believed that on this day Hazrat Ibrahim was going to sacrifice his son at the behest of Allah, in fact, Allah was testing Hazrat Ibrahim for what great sacrifice he could make for religion.
While sacrificing his son, he should not get caught up in emotions. So he tied his eyes, and when he opened his eyes after the sacrifice, he saw that his son was a sheep at the sacrificial altar and his son was standing in front of him. This is the reason that on this day, Muslims around the world sacrifice animals to demonstrate their faith in Allah.
On this day people wear new clothes, and namaz should be read in the open field. They read aloud with a very relaxed voice. People offer sacrifices to Allah according to the ability. Three parts of the meat are distributed. One part is kept for itself. It is the custom to divide the remaining two parts between the poor and the needy as the purpose of this sacrifice is that its benefits reach the poorest of the poor. So that even the poor and needy people can celebrate this festival with great pomp, enjoy the meat on this day.
Women make special dishes, Idi and gifts are given to the children. Everyone celebrates this festival with great joy. This festival is celebrated in Jal Hajj, the last month of Hijri. This month, Muslims from all over the world go to Hajj. During this, it is considered very auspicious to go on the Haj pilgrimage. This is a day to make Muslims feel proud.
